Mishing (Mising) is Tibetan-Burman language spoken by the Mishing people. There are almost 400,000 speakers of the language. It is also known as Plains Miri or Takam. The speakers of the language inhabit mostly North Lakhimpur, Sonitpur, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, Jorhat, Golaghat, Tinsukia districts of Assam. The premier literary body of Mising language is know as 'Mising Agom Kébang'.
