Na Olympijských hrách v Soulu 1988 získal bronzovou medaili. Po ukončení kariéry později založil privatizační fond Šrejber Tennis Investing a účastnil se kupónové privatizace. Byl pravděpodobně zdrojem části finančních prostředků, jež Občanská demokratická strana vykazovala na fiktivní dárce Lajose Bácse a Radjiva Sinhu. V lednu 1994 se stal předsedou představenstva nově založené akciové společnosti Pankrác, místopředsedy představenstva se stali Michael Kocáb a Oldřich Lichtenberg.

A fine carriera si dedicò agli affari, ma venne coinvolto in caso di corruzione, nell'ormai Repubblica Ceca, per finanziamenti segreti ad un partito politico e per aver goduto di eccessive condizioni favorevoli durante la privatizzazione di un'acciaieria. In seguito a questi due eventi, Šrejber fu incarcerato ed il suo nome, nella Repubblica Ceca divenne sinonimo di corruzione politica.
