Mike Scott was bassist for well known underground melodic punk/hardcore band Phinius Gage from 2003-2007. He turned to acoustic music in 2007 when the band went on hiatus, following the trend, led by The King Blues, of punks playing more mellow music or going solo. His music, like much of the acoustic punk scene is based on liberal politics. He actively promotes animal rights. He is a vegan.
