Mike Metheny is an American jazz flugelhornist. He is the brother of Pat Metheny. Metheny studied music education at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Northeast Missouri State University, then played trumpet in the Army Field Band (1971-74). Following this he studied at the Berklee College of Music and later became a faculty member there (1976-82). He has released several full-length albums, the first of which was issued in 1982.
