Mihail Fărcăşanu (November 10 1907 – July 14 1987) was a Romanian journalist, diplomat and writer. He was president of the National Liberal Youth from 1940 to 1946. Pursued by the authorities due to his anticommunist actions, he managed to flee the country in 1946, and was later sentenced to death. He was member of the Romanian National Committee and the League of Free Romanians (Liga Românilor Liberi) where he was elected as president in 1953.

He was the first manager of the Europa Libera radio station, the Romanian language section. His most important work is The leaves are no longer the same (Frunzele nu mai sunt aceleaşi), published in 1946 under the name of Mihail Villara. The work was given the Editura Cultura Naţională grand prize.

A fost membru în Comitetul Naţional Român şi în Liga Românilor Liberi, fiind ales preşedinte al acesteia în 1953. A fost primul director al secţiei române a postului de radio "Europa Liberă". Principala sa operă literară este romanul "Frunzele nu mai sunt aceleaşi", publicat în 1946 sub pseudonimul Mihail Villara, roman care a fost distins cu premiul editurii Cultura Naţională.
