Aus dieser Verbindung ging die Tochter Heavenly Hirany Tiger Lily (* 1996) hervor, die seit dem Drogentod ihrer Mutter im Jahre 2000 zusammen mit ihren Geschwistern bei Bob Geldof lebt. Michael Hutchence wurde 1997, kurz nach Veröffentlichung eines neuen INXS-Albums, unter ungeklärten Umständen mit einem Gürtel erhängt in einem Hotelzimmer im Ritz-Carlton in Sydney aufgefunden. Das auf 10 bis 20 Mio. AUD geschätzte Vermögen von Hutchence blieb auch acht Jahre nach dessen Tod spurlos verschwunden. Sein möglicher Suizid wurde von der Band U2, deren Leadsänger Bono mit ihm eng befreundet war, im Lied "Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of" verarbeitet.
