The game was released in three separate versions simultaneously, subtitled Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon . However, the Dragon version is exclusive in North America to GameStop stores, while in the UK, the Pegasus version is exclusive to Play. com. Mega Man Star Force has many similarities to the Mega Man Battle Network series, but is considered a separate entity (although many elements from the original Battle Network remain, like locations in general, methods of technology, viruses, and even a surviving Megaman EXE). Both an anime and manga were produced several months prior to the game's Japanese release date and are currently running in Japan. So far, only the anime has been adapted into English. Mega Man Star Force 2 was released on November 22, 2007.
