Matthias Frei better known as Matt Frei (born 26 November 1963) was the BBC's Washington, D.C. , correspondent and the presenter of BBC World News America. He also hosted Americana, a weekly programme heard on BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service. After more than two decades at the BBC, Frei signed a deal to join Channel 4 as its Washington correspondent and announced on 23 June 2011, that this was his final broadcast on BBC World News America.
