Matt Allwright (born 1970) is a British television journalist and presenter. Matthew was born near Wokingham in Berkshire, and educated at the Dolphin School and Reading Blue Coat School, Sonning, Berkshire. He first appeared on television in 1996, reporting for the BBC consumer programme Watchdog. After this he was given a regular presenting job on the show. He left the programme in 2001 and in 2003, he presented his own consumer show called Rogue Traders.

He appeared as a panellist and presenter on The Wright Stuff and in 2006, he took part in the BBC singing contest Just the Two of Us, with his singing partner Jocelyn Brown. Matt plays guitar and sings in a band called Surf and Turf. He lives with his wife and two children. Despite his Berkshire upbringing, he has professed to being an avid supporter of Liverpool F.C.. He also presents Food poker on BBC Two. He is a patron of SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) Since 2 August 2008, he is the presenter of Rogue Restaurants on BBC1. Over Christmas 2008 he presented a program called Christmas on the Frontline which involved him going to Camp Bastion in Afghanistan to visit the British Armed Forces stationed there. Christmas on the Frontline was broadcast on BBC One on 29 December 2008.
