Her credits also include minor roles on Animaniacs and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Gross's trademark is her soft, treacly voice. Gross was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Virginia Cahill, a telephone operator, and William Oscar Gross, a tool designer. She is sister of Michael Gross, who was the star of the 1980s sitcom Family Ties.
