Mark Geary (born 1971) was born in Dublin, Ireland) into a large family with seven siblings, one of whom is actor Karl Geary. In 1992, he emigrated to New York with a lottery-won green card and gradually established himself as a singer-songwriter, playing frequently in venues such as the Sin É alongside Jeff Buckley, and other artists. Geary also worked in popular New York bar The Scratcher. Geary has released five albums since 1999 and his music was featured in the movie The Breakup Artist.
