For the stage, Campbell has written the musical theatre piece Dr Memory in the Dream House which was first performed in 1990 and an adaption of Not Being Miriam entitled Ariadne's Understudies in 1991. Campbell currently coordinates the creative writing program at the University of Melbourne.
