Margie Joseph (born Margaret Marie Joseph in Pascagoula, Mississippi, in 1950) is an R&B and soul singer. Often compared to Aretha Franklin, although a bit more mellow in tone, in 1967, she recorded some demo recordings at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio's which led to her debut song, "Why Does a Man Have to Lie?". on the Okeh label.

Switching to Stax's Volt label, and then Atlantic and its subsidiary Cotillion, her hits included an 8 minute and 6 second version of The Supremes' "Stop In The Name Of Love", featuring an Isaac Hayes-inspired rap entitled "Woman Talk," her version of Paul McCartney's "My Love" and "What's Come Over Me" (R&B #11), which she recorded in 1975, with Blue Magic. There is also a CD which features Margie, Blue Magic and Major Harris, recorded live at the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, released in 2006 on the Collectables label.
