Marcel Aymar is a franco-ontarian singer originally from Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia. He moved to Sudbury, Ontario in 1972 as a teen and was involved in the popular franco-ontarian group CANO, playing guitar. During this time, he also helped manage the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario. Aymar and two other musicians wrote the theme song for CBC's The National and SRC's Soirée du Hockey, the French equivalent to Hockey Night in Canada.
