Mambo Kurt (born Rainer Limpinsel; 11 April 1967 in Hagen) is a German artist who does covers of various mainstream and classical/modern rock hits. More than just a comedy and novelty act, Mambo has played The Wacken Open Air festival and provides music for a German television show called Verona's World.

Despite not being known all over the world, over the years he has earned himself a lot of fans over his bizarre takes on the songs, most notably Clawfinger and Rammstein (whom he has both covered on his albums).

Sein Instrument ist eine analoge Yamaha D-85-Electone-Heimorgel aus dem Jahr 1980. Heute tritt er fast ausschließlich auf Hardrock- und Metalfestivals wie Wacken Open Air oder With Full Force als Nebenattraktion auf. Mambo Kurt spielt nicht nur ein in der Rockmusik altmodisches Instrument, sondern trägt bei Auftritten dazu noch biedere Kleidung im Stil der 1970er Jahre, vorzugsweise helle Anzüge, und eine Sonnenbrille. Zudem ist er seit September 2006 in der Sendung SWR3 latenight regelmäßig zu sehen. Limpinsel studierte Medizin in Regelstudienzeit und wurde Chirurg. Die Entscheidung, Arzt zu werden, traf er bereits während seiner Zivildienstzeit. Im Jahre 2002 promovierte er an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
