The track became a starting-point in the duo's activity and the two concentrated on the further production including countless vocal castings and studio sessions. Mad and Spectral gained respect by many representatives of the electronic scene and being a quite fertile producers they had already a serious music material by the end of 2006. At the same time the duo has established its sound, turning it from house and progressive into deep house and minimal techno with elements of dub and ambient. Unfortunately, the unequal situation that reigns in Armenian show business doesn't let the duo be appreciated and the lack of electronic music events as well as the adequate audience, make Mad and Spectral look for serious partners and record labels abroad. The duo is also known as Warm 8 (former Artificial Twins), an IDM and downtempo-oriented project, as well as Salt Sweet, which is mostly aimed at deep tech and tech house production. Mad and Spectral also run their own independent digital record label Low Flow Records, which is mostly aimed at deep house and tech house production. Moreover, there are also the solo-projects of the Mad and Spectral members: Garry Mkrtchyan drops beats under the alias of Fabien Kamb, while Ashot Babayan is producing as Krummstoff.
  • Формирование ди-джей/продюсерского дуэта Mad and Spectral является логическим продолжением многочисленных совместных работ двух музыкантов, известных под псевдонимами Mad Dee Jay (Ашот Бабаян) и DJ Garry Spectrum (Гарри Мкртчян). С 1998 года, будучи незнакомцами, оба музыканта и первопроходца на местной андерграунд электронной сцене, начали продюсировать музыку по отдельности. В то время Ашот был сооснователем проекта X-Phobos (пионеров электроники в Армении), тогда как Гарри начинал свою музыкальную деятельность под ником Spectrum. Они познакомились на радиошоу и будучи единомышленниками в скором времени стали не только сотрудничать но и в лице друг-друга приобрели верных товарищей. Mad and Spectral официально сформировался весной 2006 года, выбрав основным вектором работы разветвление между хаус и прогрессив-хаус звучанием. Вскоре кропотливая работа дала свои первые плоды в виде дебютных произведений “Beautiful Dayz Of Our Life” и “Tomorrow”. Оба трека были записаны в сотрудничестве с нововыявленной (открытием Mad and Spectral) вокалисткой Loo-Izz (Луиза Мурадян) и представляли собой некое сочетание хаус эстетики и теплого женского вокала. Музыканты были в постоянном поиске новых решений в своем творчестве и по ходу свою жизнь получили такие работы как “Sex Me Slow” с вокалом британской певицы S. Curley, “I_Love” и “Let You Go”. 2007 год стал вторым этапом в поиске своего саунда, когда в результате многочисленных экспериментов и непрерывной креативной работы, Mad and Spectral начали переходить на более авторское и узнаваемое звучание. Оставив позади классическое хаус направление, дуо постепенно перешло в сферу дип-хаус культуры. В результате были записаны такие композиции как “Le Plaisir Oceanique” (с вокалисткой Loo-Izz), “One Step From Heaven” (с вокалисткой Emoque), и “Paradise” (с вокалисткой Lucia), а так-же многие другие произведения, которые вскоре стали знаковыми и для самих продюсеров. Работы Mad and Spectral - частые гости в ди-джейских сетах и радио-шоу в России, Европе и Америке, где они высоко ценятся за продуманный до мелочей концептуальный подход, солидный саунд и новые веяния в клубной музыке в целом. В середине 2007-го года, Mad and Spectral параллельно запустили свой второй проект - Salt Sweet, в целях консолидации произведений, ориентированных на более жесткое звучание - некую смесь между тек-хаус и дип-хаус, которое так-же принято называть термином deep tech. Mad and Spectral так–же являются владельцами независимого цифрового лейбла Low Flow Records, который был основан в конце 2008 года и в основном ориентирован на выпуск дип и тек-хаус музыки.
