The Lovers of the Holy Cross is a Roman Catholic female congregation, founded in 1670 by the first vicar Apostolic in Tong-king and Cochin China Pierre Lambert de la Motte. By 2002 statistics, it has about 4822 members. It is the first female religious congregation to be distinguished by its Eastern characteristics, both contemplative and apostolic, and created in Vietnam.

During its 335 years of existence, the Lovers of the Cross community, went through various trials and tribulations : persecutions, disasters, wars and changes of political regimes. There are currently 24 communes of the Lovers of the Cross nuns of Vietnamese origin of which one is in the United States. Three of them are in Thailand and two others in Laos.
  • Die Amantes de la Croix oder auch Kreuzliebende Schwestern von Go Vap sind ein römisch-katholischer Frauenorden. Die Kongregation wurde von dem französischen Priester Pierre Lambert de la Motte 1670 in Vietnam gegründet und breitete sich von dort aus weltweit aus. 1954 wurden die Schwestern aus Nordvietnam vertrieben und ließen sich in der Umgebung von Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt nieder. Ihre Aufgabengebiete sind neben dem Gebet karitative Dienste in der Gemeinde, Schulen und Krankenhäusern sowie Missionsarbeit in den abgelegenen Bergregionen Vietnams. In Vietnam leben etwa 100 Schwestern, weltweit sind es etwa 300. In Deutschland hat der Orden Niederlassungen in Bonn (St. Petrus-Krankenhaus) und München.

Elle est la première congrégation religieuse féminine à se distinguer par ses caractéristiques propres à l'Orient, vouée à la fois à la contemplation et à l'apostolat, et créée au Vietnam. Au cours de ses 335 années d'existence, les Amantes de la Croix ont connu différentes épreuves et bien des tribulations: persécutions, catastrophes, guerres et changements de régime politique. Il existe actuellement 24 communautés de religieuses Amantes de la Croix d'origine vietnamienne, dont l'une est aux États-Unis. Trois autres sont en Thaïlande et deux autres au Laos.
