Los Suaves is a rock band from Ourense, Galicia, Spain. The band was founded in the eighties by the Domínguez brothers: Charly, bassist and Yosi Domínguez, vocalist. The chance to record their first album, Esta vida me va a matar (this Life is going to kill me), appeared after being the support band of The Ramones in A Coruña, during one of the visits of this punk band to Spain. With this album important songs like "Peligrosa María" or "Viene el tren" were published.

After eight years passed going unnoticed they achieved a real success with their third album "Ese día piensa en mí" (1989). This is the point that marks the beginning of their most successful stage. The band has received some prizes from the specialized press as the best live band of the country.

Fins arribar a l'emblemàtic tercer disc que els va llançar a l'èxit, "Ese día piensa en mí", el 1989, van haver de passar vuit anys ben llargs durant els quals van gravar dos discos que en el seu moment van passar pràcticament desapercebuts, si bé, actualment s'han reeditat fins i tot en compacte. L'oportunitat de gravar el primer dels seus discos, "Esta vida me va a matar" (1982), va sorgir després de fer de teloners del grup The Ramones a La Corunya, quan el grup novaiorquès va visitar Espanya. És aquest el fet puntual que marca el principi de la llegenda de Los Suaves. El grup ha estat premiat per la premsa especialitzada com a millor grup en directe del país en diverses ocasions.
