Lorna Crozier is a Canadian poet and essayist. She began writing under the name of Lorna Uher. Born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Crozier received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan. The prairies remain an essential landscape in her work. She now teaches at the University of Victoria, where she is the Chair for the Creative Writing program. In 1992, Crozier won the Governor General's Award for poetry, one of Canada's highest literary prizes.
