Loriciels (later known as Loriciel) was a French video game company, founded in 1983 by Marc Bayle and Laurent Weill. The company thrived in the 80's developing and publishing games on various platforms: Oric 1, ZX81, ZX Spectrum, Thomson and eventually Amiga and Atari ST. Undergoing financial difficulties, the company went bankrupt in 1993, following several changes of name and attempts to revive the company: Loriciels first became 'Loriciel' then 'Virtual Studio'.

Philippe Seban les rejoint peu de temps après pour promouvoir la société, puis rachete 50% du capital et prend la direction générale. Loriciels devient l'un des plus grands développeurs de jeux vidéo à partir de la sortie du jeu l'Aigle d'or, récompensé par le 1 tilt d'or en 1985, catégorie "meilleur jeu d'aventure de l'année". Loriciels développait alors des jeux pour Oric 1 (d'où son nom, contraction des mots "Oric" et "Logiciels"), ZX 81, ZX Spectrum, les Amstrad CPC (464, 664, 6128), les Thomson MO5 et TO7/70... puis pour Atari ST et Amiga, dont un bon nombre de succès. En 1990, Loriciels devient Loriciel SA. En 1992, Loriciel doit faire face à de gros problèmes financiers et la société est mise en redressement. Pendant la période d'observation, elle subit malheureusement un important impayé de son distributeur américain et n'a d'autre solution que la mise en liquidation.
