  • Lola Dutronic is a Canadian electronica duo, consisting of remixer/producer Richard Citroen and vocalist Frankie Hart. The band adapts songs from the French and British sixties with modern electronic arrangements. They have issued three albums so far. Richard Citroen was also briefly a member of The Diodes. Despite their reputation for imaginative cover versions, their most successful song has been the self-penned "Les Cheveux de mon amour", which has been featured on the soundtrack of the television drama series The L Word. The band's 2nd album was "short listed" for a 2008 Grammy Nomination in the dance/electronica category. 2008 also saw some changes in the band with the departure of original vocalist Frankie Hart, and her replacement by Berlin-based vocalist Lola Dee. After an abortive attempt to relocate to Berlin permanently, a new album was recorded there with Mike Garson (David Bowie, Smashing Pumpkins) guesting on piano. The band have also parted company with Bongo Beat Records and are now based in both Toronto and Berlin.
