The band made extensive use of the Internet to gather a fanbase, which may be in part responsible for their relatively rapid rise, with only twelve months having passed from formation to their signing with the V2 record label. Like many other up and coming bands they made extensive use of MySpace as well as their own forum to communicate with and co-ordinate fans. In recognition of their online community's role in their success, the band gave forum members priority booking tickets for their 2006 Christmas show at the Sheffield Boardwalk.

Nach ihrer Neugründung im Jahr 2005 erlangte die Gruppe um Gitarrist Edward "Maz" Marriot mit Hilfe des Internet-Netzwerkes myspace. com und ihres eigenen Internet-Forums erstmals auch überregionale Bekanntheit. Im März 2006 unterschrieben sie einen Plattenvertrag beim britischen Indie-Label V2 Records und veröffentlichten seitdem fünf Singles und EPs. Am 29. Januar 2007 erschien ihr Debütalbum About What You Know, dessen Songs von eingängigen Melodien und aus dem Leben gegriffenen Texten geprägt ist.
