The post of Leader of the Labour Party was created in 1922. Before this (1906-22) the post was known as Chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party. Although these were technically leaders of the Labour Party, they only assumed this role because of the death of the incumbent and were not elected to the post. They were in effect acting leaders.
