She represented Georgia in the Miss USA 2006 pageant in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2006; she was second runner-up to Tara Conner of Kentucky. This was Georgia's highest placement since 2001, when Tiffany Fallon also placed second runner-up. Her sister titleholder was Brittany Sharp, who was also a runner-up in the Miss Teen USA pageant. With Wilson's second runner-up position and Sharp's fourth runner-up placement, Georgia was the highest overall placed state in 2006. In November 2006 Wilson passed on her crown to Brittany Swann of Peachtree City, who had placed third runner-up to her in the 2006 pageant. Lisa has been featured on the cover of New You Magazine, V3 Magazine, and was named one of Atlanta's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2006 by Jezebel Magazine. She has also appeared in People Magazine, Star Magazine, US Weekly Magazine, Pageantry Magazine, Atlanta Brides, and Supermodels Unlimited. In July 2007, she was featured on the cover of Woman’s World magazine and appeared in a European Bacardi commercial with George Clooney.
