The premise appears to tread similar ground to Bushnell's famed Sex and the City, following the lives of three New York career women; a fashion designer called Victory Ford, magazine editor Nico O'Neilly, and Parador Pictures president Wendy Healy; however in this book the women are a little older, richer, and more powerful. A television series pilot was based on the book, starring Brooke Shields as Wendy Healy, Lindsay Price as Victory Ford, and Kim Raver as Nico Reilly. The series was being filmed for NBC, which announced on May 14, 2007, that the series would be part of its Sunday night primetime schedule following the end of the 2007 season of Sunday Night Football. The series was to premiere on January 20, 2008, but its debut was delayed to February 7, at Thursday night's ER's time slot. CTV Television Network will be airing the show in Canada. Channel Seven in Australia have confirmed they will air the series sometime in 2008. The show premiered on June 29, 2008 at 9:30PM on Channel Seven. Living will air the show in the UK. TV3 will air the show in New Zealand.
