"gnurglorna", (eng "shmoos"), aningen lika mumintroll, som smakade kyckling, verkade älska att bli uppätna, och förökade sig så snabbt att det inte spelade någon roll hur många man åt upp. En svensk översättning av seriehäftet Gnurglorna utgavs på Åhlén och Åkerlunds förlag 1949. Även Gnurglorna hade egna serier under vissa tider.
