Over the course of a couple of years, he has produced, directed and edited over 20 weddings, sporting events, commercials as well as a handful of short films, many of which have won numerous prizes in Festivals across Canada and in France. Laurent's first language is French but is obviously very much bilingual. To this fact, Larry attributes many of his success. At the age of 17, he also started writing and acting in a French Pre-teen CBC televised show called "Clan Destin". One of the many highlights of Laurent's career came in 2003 when his mock-documentary "Deuxième enfance" was not only nominated but won both the "Best Picture" and "Public's Choice" awards at the Festival des Vidéastes in Winnipeg. Just recently, Laurent finished post-production on a television pilot written by Josh Hatfield, "Educated Guess". It is expected to premiere late 2008. Shortly after, Laurent re-teamed with his writer and launched their production company, "Hatchway Entertainment". Laurent continues to work on music videos, shorts and features perfecting his craft as a Director and Assistant Director soon to become a member of the Director's Guild of Canada. In 2003, Larry's film "Deuxième Enfance" won both the Best Picture and People's Choice awards at the "Festival des vidéastes du Manitoba". In 2002, Larry's film "Amour Sokea" won "Best Cinematography" at the "Festival des vidéastes du Manitoba". Graduated from Vancouver Film School's Full-Time Film Production Program in October 2005.
