The Freshman Wing aka The Freshman Center: Established in 1993 and adjoining the high school, the Freshmen Center provides excellent transition programs for incoming students. The school is located on U.S. Route 41. It succeeded an older school named Dyer Central High School, which was on U.S. Route 30. The Dyer Central Building became the building for Kahler Middle School which is still part of the Lake Central School Corporation. The building was demolished in 1993-1994 as part of renovations made to the school.
