Kye has also performed with the Hawk-Richard Jazz Orchestra, Woody Herman Orchestra, Bob Dylan, Tony Bennett, Joe Williams, and Diane Schuur, as well as touring Japan with the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra and Poncho Sanchez Latin jazz band. TV appearances include the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, Good Morning America, the Today Show, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He has recorded for several major motion picture soundtracks, including Three to Tango, Stuart Little, and Me, Myself & Irene. Kye has also appeared on the BSO's Grammy award winning recording of “Caravan,” the certified gold CD Best of the Big Band, as well as Vavoom and Boogie Woogie Christmas. On April 10, 2006, Kye Palmer replaced Lee Thornburg in the Tonight Show Band.
