- La Korrika es una marcha reivindicativa que se realiza corriendo por Euskal Herria en apoyo al euskera. Su promotor es la asociación de euskaltegis Alfabetatze Euskalduntze Koordinakundea (AEK), moviliza a miles de personas y a su paso por las capitales se hace multitudinaria. Se suele celebrar cada dos años y tarda unas dos semanas en completar su recorrido, que suele rondar los 2.300 kilómetros y que varía en cada edición. La primera Korrika se realizó en 1980 y desde entonces se lleva a cabo cada año y medio. Posteriormente, empezó a celebrarse cada dos años. En 2009 se ha celebrado la 16ª edición. La peculiaridad de esta marcha es que no para por la noche. Desde que sale hasta el final, el testigo va pasando de mano en mano y pueblo por pueblo sin detenerse en ningún momento. A la cabeza de la marcha suele ir la persona que posee el testigo. Cada kilómetro de la marcha lleva el testigo una persona o asociación que «compra los kilómetros» para ayudar económicamente. El testigo está formado por un palo de madera tallada, que se conserva desde la primera edición, y la ikurriña, formando una bandera. Tras el testigo, se forma la cabecera de la marcha que posee una pancarta en la cual se lee un lema, que cambia cada año. Así, en 2005 el lema elegido fue Euskal Herria euskalduntzen. Ni ere bai! («'Euskaldunizando' Euskal Herria. ¡Yo también!» en castellano), mientras que el de 2007 fue Heldu! Hitzari, lekukoari, elkarlanari, euskarari, herriari («¡Agárrate! A la palabra, al testigo, al trabajo en común, al euskera, al pueblo»). Tras esta pancarta se concentran el resto de participantes, que corren unos kilómetros en un gran ambiente, con música y animadores a lo largo de todo el trayecto. De forma paralela, se organizan distintos actos culturales en apoyo al euskera a lo largo de todas las poblaciones por las que discurre el trayecto, desde varios meses antes. Estos actos se denominan Korrika Kulturala.
- The Korrika, or Running, is an exhibition race held bi-annually in the Basque Country in order to celebrate and support the Basque language. The race is organized by the AEK, Basque acronym for the Coordinator of Literacy and Basque Promotion, and is usually scheduled to last two weeks. The first Korrika took place in 1980, and every race follows a different course, although it always endeavours to cover a significant proportion of the historical Basque territories. The race, which proceeds continuously without even stopping at night, usually has participation levels of about 600,000 people. In order to raise funds for the promotion of the Basque language, each kilometre of the race is 'sold' to a particular individual or organization, who will be the figurehead of the race during their purchased kilometre. This race leader relays an engraved wooden stick, preserved from the first race held, and adorned with the Basque flag or Ikurriña. Behind the race leader, the immediately following participants carry a banner bearing the race slogan Euskal Herria euskalduntzen. Ni ere bai! (Spreading the Basque language in the Basque Country. Me too!) The race is conducted in an extremely jovial, uncompetitive spirit, accompanied by music and general fanfare, with roads thronged with spectators. During the period, a great many cultural activities are organised to promote the use of Basque, with the support of the Royal Academy of the Basque Language. The special theme of the race's 15th edition in 2007 was a tribute to Basque women and the unique role they have played in guaranteeing the language's preservation. The last Korrika started in Tudela (Navarre) on March 2009, and finished in Vitoria-Gasteiz on the 5th April. The slogan was Ongi etorri euskaraz bizi nahi dugunon herrira (Welcome to the country where we want to live in Basque). 2011´s Korrika will be held from the 7th April to the 17th April, from Trebiñu (Araba) to Donostia (Gipuzkoa). The slogan is "Maitatu, ikasi, ari,... kalakari" (Love it, learn it, speak it,... kalakari). It wants to be an homage to all those people who love the Basque language, learnt it or are learning it now, and use it. Kalakari is a word invented for this event, to represent the persons mentioned.

Elle est organisée par l'association d'enseignement du basque AEK tous les deux ans et dure une dizaine de jours. Le parcours fait à peu près 2300 km et change à chaque édition. La particularité de cette course-relais est qu'elle ne s'arrête pas la nuit. Du début à la fin, le témoin passe de main en main, de ville en village, sans s'arrêter un instant. Tout le long du parcours, des fêtes, concerts, bertsu, ou conférences sont organisées dans les villes ou villages traversés. La première Korrika démarra en 1980.
