The firm was founded in 1969 by Lester Korn and Richard Ferry. Paul C. Reilly, a former chief executive officer of KPMG, is the current Chairman of Korn/Ferry; he was the Chief Executive Officer from June 2001 to June 2007. He has BS and MBA degrees from the University of Notre Dame. Gary D. Burnison, a former partner at KPMG, is the current CEO, replacing Reilly in July 2007. The company claims expertise across a range of fields, including the consumer, financial, industrial and technological areas, as well as healthcare services and life sciences. They offer recruitment services for executives and leadership and talent consultancy. A subsidiary company, Futurestep, offers recruitment and consultancy aimed at other management levels. Nach einer Konsolidierung ist das Unternehmen nur noch in Frankfurt präsent und dort mit rund 60 Mitarbeitern vertreten.
