Kobuleti is a town in Georgia's southwestern region of Ajaria. It is situated on the eastern coast of the Black Sea. Kobuleti is a sea resort, visited annually by Georgians and many former Soviet Union residents. From the 17th century into the 19th, Kobuleti was a fiefdom of the Tavdgiridze family, first under the authority of the Principality of Guria, and then of the Ottoman Empire. It was known as Çürüksu during Ottoman rule.

Arbeitgeber sind vor allem kleine und mittlere Unternehmen. Es gibt elf Kirchen, zwei Moscheen, vier Parks und 15 Hotels. Das Stadtklima ist mild subtropisch. Im Sommer scheint meist die Sonne, es weht eine ionisierte Meeresbrise und die Wassertemperaturen sind warm.

Bu tarihten sonra Anadolu'ya göç eden Müslüman Gürcülerin bir bölümü Çürüksu'dan gelmiştir. Bunlardan Çürüksulu Ali Paşa, başta Ordu ve çevresi olmak üzere, II. Abdülhamid döneminde muhacirlerin iskânı gibi konularda önemli rol oynamıştır. Çürüksulu Mahmud Paşa İttihat ve Terakki hükümetlerinde bahriye (deniz kuvvetleri) ve nafıa (bayındırlık) bakanlığı yapmış, 1919'da barış hazırlıkları komisyonu başkanlığına atanmış, İngilizler tarafından Malta'ya sürülmüştür. Gürcistan'ın eski başbakanlarından Zurab Noğaideli Kobuletlidir.
