The video attracted controversy when the director's cut (a risque version) appeared on television featuring Valance apparently naked. She maintains that she was not naked, and from the video, all we can see are well placed lights protecting her genitalia. "Kiss Kiss" was nominated for 4 ARIA Awards at the 16th ARIA Awards in 2002. The single also debuted at number-one in the United Kingdom on May 5th 2002, selling 143,408 copies in its first week. The song made its debut on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and UK Singles Chart at number one, it was Valance's first number one single.
