- El World Future Council (WFC) —Consell per al Futur Mundial— és una fundació alemanya sense ànim de lucre, fundada a formalment a Hamburg el 10 de maig de 2007. Definida a si mateixa com «la veu de les futures generacions», hi formen part com a membres actius persones d'organismes governamentals, de la societat civil, negocis, ciències i arts, amb l'objectiu de preservar i sensibilitzar sobre els drets de les generacions futures i promoure una política de sostenibilitat i justícia. El focus principal del WFC és la seguretat climàtica, promovent lleis com la tarifa balanç net zero per a l'autoconsum energètic per a energies renovables. Té estatus consultiu especial dins el Consell Econòmic i Social de l'ONU. (ca)
- Der World Future Council (WFC) ist eine deutsche gemeinnützige Stiftung mit Sitz in Hamburg. Er setzt sich nach eigenen Angaben dafür ein, nachfolgenden Generationen einen gesunden und nachhaltigen Planeten mit gerechten und friedlichen Gesellschaften zu übergeben. Um dies zu erreichen, will der WFC zukunftsgerechte Lösungen für aktuelle Herausforderungen der Menschheit identifizieren, entwickeln, aufzeigen, verbreiten und deren Umsetzung weltweit fördern. Die Rechte künftiger Generationen sollen den Entscheidungsträgern nahe gebracht werden. Der Rat besteht aus bis zu 50 Mitgliedern aus Politik, Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft, Zivilgesellschaft und Kultur. Jakob von Uexküll, der Stifter des Alternativen Nobelpreises, hat den World Future Council 2007 mit Unterstützung von Barbara Seiller, Michael Otto und Herbert Girardet gegründet. Der WFC finanziert seine Arbeit durch Spenden und institutionelle Partnerschaften. (de)
- El Consejo para el futuro del mundo (en inglés: « World Future Council –WFC– ») surgió como una idea en el año 2000 impulsada por (político sueco-alemán y exmiembro del Parlamento Europeo). Esta idea comenzó a transformarse en realidad en el año 2004, gracias a la importante colaboración de Herbert Girardet (ecologista alemán). El « Consejo para el futuro del mundo » (denominación traducida a veces como « Consejo Mundial Futuro » o como « Consejo Mundial sobre el Futuro ») representa y reagrupa los intereses de las futuras generaciones, ubicándolos al centro de las decisiones políticas. La idea es que este consejo se encuentre integrado por personalidades íntegras en el plano ético, respetadas y reconocidas por la opinión pública. (es)
- Le Conseil pour l'avenir du monde (« World Future Council ») est une fondation indépendante de droit allemand, financée par des dons, née d'une idée émise en l'an 2000 par Jakob von Uexkull (fondateur du « Prix Nobel alternatif »). Cette idée est devenue réalité en 2004, grâce à la collaboration de . Le « Conseil pour l'avenir du monde » est composé de 50 personnalités venant de gouvernements, de parlements, de la société civile, d’universités, artistes et créateurs dites « faiseurs de changement », que le fondateur souhaite intègres sur le plan éthique, respectées et jouissant d'un grand crédit dans l'opinion publique. Ce Conseil cherche à exprimer et défendre les intérêts des générations futures en les (re)mettant au centre de la politique de décision, afin de « transmettre aux générations futures une planète en bonne santé et des sociétés justes, en favorisant l’identification et la diffusion de solutions efficaces, orientées vers l’avenir ».
