Kenneth "Ken" Pentin Farmer, CM was a Canadian Chartered Accountant, a Winter Olympics silver medal winner in ice hockey, and a president of the Canadian Olympic Association (now known as the Canadian Olympic Committee). Born in Westmount, Quebec, he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in 1934 and became a Chartered Accountant in 1937. In 1934, he joined the accounting firm of McDonald Currie & Company. He became a partner in 1945 until his retirement in 1977.

From 1953 to 1961, he was the President of the Canadian Olympic Association. He was President of the Commonwealth Games Association of Canada from 1977 to 1983. He was a Governor of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame from 1980 to 1990. In 1981, he was made a Member of the Order of Canada and in 1999, he was inducted to the McGill University Sports Hall of Fame.

I finalerunden beseiret de Tsjekkoslovakia med 7-0 og USA med 1-0, men resultatet i mellomrunden mot Storbritannia telte også med i finalerunden og dermed ble Storbritannia olympiske mestere i ishockey og Canada, som hadde vunnet de fire første OL-turneringene, fikk ta til takke med sølvmedaljene. Farmer ble med fjorten poeng, ti mål og fire assist, nest beste spillere under OL-turneringen. Han var, fra 1953 til 1961, leder for Canadian Olympic Association og i 1981 ble han tildelt Order of Canada, landets høyeste sivile ordre.
