Kenneth William Eather,CB,CBE,DSO (6 July, 1901 – 9 May, 1993) was an Australian soldier who served during World War II. He was Australia's last remaining general of that war. Born on 6 July, 1901 in Sydney, Eather was commissioned as a lieutenant in the 53rd Battalion in 1923. At the outbreak of war in 1939, he was appointed commanding officer of the 2/1st Battalion with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

Born on 6 July, 1901 in Sydney, Eather was commissioned as a lieutenant in the 53rd Battalion in 1923. At the outbreak of war in 1939, he was appointed commanding officer of the 2/1st Battalion with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for leading the battalion in the successful attack on Bardia in North Africa in early January 1941. Later, he served during the New Guinea Campaign in the Pacific theatre. He finished the war with the rank of Major General. Eather died on 9 May, 1993 and was buried with full military honours in Sydney.
