Kara Monaco (born February 26, 1983 in Lakeland, Florida) is an American model. She was chosen as Playmate of the Month by Playboy magazine in June, 2005. She appeared on the cover of the June 2006 issue of Playboy as the 2006 Playmate of the Year, the first PMOY in three years to do so (the most recent being Dalene Kurtis in 2002). Monaco is the first Miss June centerfold to become PMOY. She received $100,000, a car, and a sports motorbike for being named as PMOY.
