FamilyTV 26 is seen on UHF (low-power) channel 26 from Redding south and is on Charter Cable channel 15 and digital Channel 94 in the Redding and Red Bluff areas only. KGEC provides family-friendly programs from FamilyNet and My Family TV. It also airs programming from The Sportsman Channel on Saturdays and Sundays and airs Jewelry Television in the overnight hours. On February 17, 2005, KGEC co-founder and chief executive officer George Cooper died after a long battle with cancer.
