The station's schedule currently consists of classical music on weekdays from 6:00am to 6:00pm and various Americana music programs on the weekend. On September 2, 2008, the station's roster of weekday evening music programs was cancelled and replaced by an automated "Adult Acoustic Alternative" format that runs from 6:30pm overnight until 6:00am. KCSN's studios are located in the University Park Apartments on the CSUN campus. The station can be heard across the San Fernando Valley, the Santa Clarita Valley and via a booster, in the West Los Angeles area.
