In 1986 she joined the Band 'The Stealers' and founded her own band, 'Jule Neigel & Band' (her nickname was "Jule" until 2005). Her first hit, "Schatten an der Wand" was released in 1987 (#12 in Germany). The first record sold about 200,000 copies and was produced by Ralf Zang, who also was the producer of Chaka Khan. Since then, she sold more than 2 million records, by releasing 7 records in 10 years. She is working as a songwriter, singer, and producer since 1987 and has won many awards. She worked together with Simon Phillips, Paco de Lucia, Helmut Zerlett, Udo Lindenberg and Peter Maffay. She is also a popular artist. Due to legal difficulties because of copyright infringement, through 2 ex-musicians, she didn't work in the music business from 1998 until 2005. Neigel, die als Russlanddeutsche in Sibirien geboren wurde, verbrachte ab 1969 ihre weiteren Lebensjahre in Tiraspol in Moldawien. 1971 zog sie mit ihrer Familie nach Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Ihre Stimme umfasst vier Oktaven und ihr musikalisches Wirken erstreckt sich über viele Genres der Pop-und Rockmusik ebenso wie Funk, Jazz, R’n’B und auch Klassik. 1982 hatte sie ihren ersten Auftritt mit der Band Hopp’n Ex Group, die sie 1986 wieder verließ, um Sängerin bei The Stealers zu werden, aus denen sich später Jule Neigel & Band formierte. Sie spielte in den Teenagerjahren in der Handball-Bundesliga] und moderierte in Radiosendern. 1987 entstand das Lied „Schatten an der Wand“, das zu einem Hit wurde (#30 in Deutschland). 1988 erschien das gleichnamige Album dazu, produziert von Ralf Zang. Weitere Singles, die in die deutschen Charts kamen, waren „Heut’ Nacht“ (# 56 im Jahre 1991) und „Sehnsucht“ (# 78 im Jahre 1994). Seit 1987 arbeitet sie als Produzentin, Sängerin und Autorin und schrieb einige Lieder für Peter Maffay und trat auch mit ihm gemeinsam auf. Seither gewann sie viele Preise, u. a. als „Beste Sängerin“, „Beste Texterin“ und für „Bestes Album“.
