Married, with three children, Name studied Business Administration in the Autonomus Caribbean University in Barranquilla and continued his studies at Columbia University in New York, where he studied Management, Government and Public Affairs. In the Senate, Name has headed the fifth commission of Congress. His party received the second highest number of votes in the local elections of October 2008.
