The song was originally written at the time when the band were performing in the Alps, and was included on a very rare demo disc along with demo versions of other Twelve Stops And Home tracks, and was also added to the setlist for the Twelve Stops and Home tour, and subsequently features on the live Double CDs that contain audio versions of the tour in different venues. It currently features on the latest Toyota Auris Advert because they misinterpreted the segment of the song with the lyrics 'Ring ring, beep beep, ah-huh. ' to mean the song's subject was cars. The Feeling performed Join With Us at the London 2012 Party shown on BBC 1 as well as a cover of David Bowie's "Heroes".
