Johnny McDaid (aka John McDaid), formerly of the band Vega4, is a writer, producer and recording artist from Derry in Northern Ireland. Artists Johnny McDaid has worked with include Snow Patrol, Carina Round, Paul van Dyk, Iain Archer, Declan O'Rourke, Tonio K, Freelance Hellraiser, Helen Boulding, Bryn Christopher. McDaid's song "Home" written with Paul van Dyk is featured on the "Best of Paul Van Dyk" album "Volume" due to be released in the summer of 2009. As the singer and songwriter of the band Vega4, McDaid's song "Life Is Beautiful" was in the US Hot AC radio charts in the Top 40 for 12 weeks in 2007. "Life is Beautiful" is the song for the theatrical trailer of My Sister's Keeper, the new Nick Cassavetes Film starring Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin.
