John Shires is a British television presenter and journalist currently employed by ITV Yorkshire. From January 2007 to February 2009 he was a co-host of the South edition of Calendar alongisde Gaynor Barnes. However following the merger of the North and South editions, he became the main sports presenter on Calendar, which he was previously before January 2007. Prior to joining Yorkshire Television, he worked for Radio Aire, the Independent Local Radio station for Leeds and West Yorkshire.
