John M. Pickard, also known as Jack Picard (June 25, 1913—August 4, 1993), was an American actor, originally from Tennessee, who appeared primarily in television westerns. From 1957-1958, as Jack Pickard, he filled the lead role of Captain Shank Adams of the syndicated series, Boots and Saddles From 1960-1975, he appeared in twelve episodes of CBS’s Gunsmoke with James Arness, including the role of Captain Sykes in the 1973 two-parter “A Game of Death, An Act of Love”.
