He attended Charleston Southern University and has played soccer in many countries. He played in Limoges, France and in the U.S. , he started playing for the Charleston Battery in the 1993 season. He played in different positions for the team, but mainly in the midfield role.

As of 2008, he is coaching a club team for Mount Pleasant. He currently lives in Hanahan, South Carolina with his wife, Mia, and three children, Shane, Logan and Chloe.
