John O'Leary (born 18 August 1949) is an Irish professional golfer. O'Leary was born in Dublin. He turned professional in 1970 and played on the European Tour until 1989. Despite finishing highly on the Order of Merit every season though 1987, he won only twice on the tour. His first title came at the Greater Manchester Open in 1976, with his second victory coming at his national open in 1982. O'Leary remained the last Irishman to win the Irish Open for 25 years until Pádraig Harrington claimed the title in 2007.
