John Malach Shaw (November 14, 1931 – December 24, 1999) was a United States federal judge. Shaw was born in Beaumont, Texas. He received a B.S. from Washington and Lee University in 1953. He received a J.D. from Louisiana State University Law School in 1956. He was in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958. He was in the United States Army Reserve Captain from 1958 to 1964. He was in private practice in Opelousas, Louisiana from 1958 to 1979.

He assumed senior status on November 15, 1996. Shaw's service was terminated on December 24, 1999, due to death. He died in Lafayette, Louisiana.
