Maurice Joseph "Phantom Joe" Malone (February 28, 1890 – May 15, 1969) was a professional ice hockey centre who played in the National Hockey Association and National Hockey League. He was notable for his scoring feats and his clean play. He scored the second-most career goals of any player in major hockey's first half-century and is the only player in the history of the NHL to score seven goals in a single game.

Il joue alors un total de six saisons dans la LNH et est surnommé le Modèle:Lang – le fantôme – en raison de son agilité, de ses feintes habiles et de sa grande vitesse. Il remporte à trois reprises la Coupe Stanley – un des plus prestigieux trophées du monde du hockey – mais est également connu pour son talent pour inscrire de nombreux buts. En 1950, il est admis au temple de la renommée du hockey et il décède en 1969 d'une crise cardiaque.
