Jerome Increase Case (1819–1891) was the developer of the Case Thresher, perhaps the first application of the steam engine for agricultural use. He was a three-time mayor of Racine, Wisconsin and a two-term member of the Wisconsin State Senate. He founded the Case Corporation.
